Fishing the North Saskatchewan River yesterday involved navigating logs and flood debris from above normal flows to get to places that can hold Lake Sturgeon under these conditions. High speed navigation kept the jet boat from plugging up with debris and leaving us dead in the water. Anchoring out on submerged islands and on tree tops in the flood plains produced Lake Sturgeon and by catch that included Walleye, Sauger, Burbot, and Longnose. Don ended a streak of bad luck by catching his most fish ever and species in one fishing trip. Don, Mark, and Brian also caught there largest fish ever on this fishing trip, but we did not locate any otter fur backs for Brian, his Dream Fish!
